Your Time at Mara Plains Camp

Watch the wide-mouthed hippos float around in the nearby river and be amazed. At this Masai Mara safari camp, you can stay in one of the high-end tented suites. You can spend your nights in a bed surrounded by real African furniture and decorations and listen to the roar of a lion or the flap of an elephant’s ears.

In the Masai Mara, you will spend your days following the fresh tracks that animals and people who were eaten have left behind. Spend time with trained guides and trackers who can explain how animals behave and answer any questions you may have about this ecosystem.

All the buildings are on raised decks, and no cement was used so that there will be no evidence of the camp if it is taken down. This act of kindness to the environment is in line with the lodge’s social duty, as they help the local communities.

As well as helping the Maasai people who live in the conservancy protect their wild areas, Mara Plains Camp also helps them. So that tourists can have a real experience on their Masai Mara safari, the area hasn’t been grown too much.

Game drives in the Masai Mara

4×4 drives in the early morning, late afternoon, and at night give you a good look at all the animals.

Wildlife walks are a great way to get a better look at the bush and sometimes even feel it. The walks in the bush are meant to teach you more about the plants and land formations that are important to the forest but don’t get talked about as much.

Visits to nearby villages

Maasai people in the area still live in a traditional way and aren’t very familiar with the modern advances of the West. Look into their society and enjoy how simple their ways are.
