Your Experience at Kizingo Eco Lodge
Kizingo Eco Lodge provides comfortable lodging on the island of Lamu, which is off the Swahili Coast. Nestled among sand dunes on the southwest tip of Lamu Island, this lodge enjoys one of the most desirable locations.

With eight distinctively styled and created roomy thatched bandas (chalets) that overlook a stretch of immaculate white beach and the warm tropical seas of the Indian Ocean, Kizingo Eco Lodge was constructed in an environmentally responsible manner.

You can escape from everything at this barefoot luxury beach lodge in Kenya. The resort provides a variety of recreational opportunities, including kayaking along Kipungani Creek to observe birds, sunset sailing excursions in traditional Arabian-style dhows, snorkeling excursions with a high probability of seeing dolphins, and simply lounging on the beach.

The Kazuku Bar & Restaurant is situated outside in a tranquil outdoor haven where you can relax and take in expansive views of the dunes and mangroves. Kizingo gets its name from the wide sandy point where the channel empties into the Indian Ocean, which is visible when looking south.

As you approach the restaurant, you’ll notice that the walls are exquisitely adorned with hand-painted tiles, colorful recycled glass bottles, and homemade Kenyan crafts and grass weavings made in the Kipungani community.

Kizingo Eco Lodge provides a barefoot Kenya beach vacation where you may explore the fascinating ancient Swahili town of Lamu with its lively marketplaces, fascinating mosques, and museums, or take a stroll along the lovely beach before enjoying cocktails from the bar.

Being one of the remaining bastions of the thriving Swahili culture and architecture, the town of Lamu is recognized as a World Heritage site. Since the island lacks roadways, the majority of residents travel by boat, donkey, or foot.
