The Salt Lick Safari Lodge in Kenya is a one-of-a-kind safari lodge. The park is in the Taita Hills Conservancy, which is full of wildlife. It is between Tsavo East and West National Parks.
There are unique en-suite rooms made on raised platforms where people can stay.
In the Taita Hills, Tsavo East and West, you can go on game drives and bush walks.
The unique accommodations make it possible to see wildlife from the comfort of your own room.
The Taita Hills are in Southeast Kenya, right next to Tsavo West National Park.
The Salt Lick Safari Lodge is on stilts above a couple of waterholes in the private Taita Hills Sanctuary, which is on the edge of Tsavo West National Park. The cabin has high-end rooms and great customer service. Almost all of the rooms have views of waterholes where lots of animals come to drink, so you can always see a lot of wildlife.
Rangers will take you on game drives through the Conservancy and the Tsavo West National Park to help you learn more about them. Night game drives in the reserve are a great way to see animals that are active at night, like the Striped Hyena, the Porcupine, and the Mongoose. Nature walks with a guide who knows a lot about the area can teach you about the ecosystem. The guide will talk about how plants can be used and how great it is to see birds.
Start going on trips in the area. You can see how people from the area live by going to a traditional town or the clear Mzima Springs in Tsavo West National Park, where many hippos live. You could also visit the Lugards Falls and go on game drives in the Tsavo East National Park. Have dinner outside under the stars with a barbecue and live music from local bands.
